The Last Two Weeks...

So the last two weeks have been fun and exhausting all at the same time. Our house has been full of family...my mom came the week after Ty was born and was an amazing help cooking, cleaning, and just helping out. Then my sister and my dad came down for the weekend. The week after that most of Ace's family came down. It was a lot of fun to have family around, but this week has been nice to get into some sort of routine again.

Everything went great. I was able to deliver him without a c-section...even though my dr tried to convice me to have a c section right up until pushing. but he was smaller than she thought and it all went very quick and easy! We are all doing good and just waiting for Easton to come see his new brother...more pictures .to come...

The Baby Update...

So far, nothing too exciting has happened except for the fact that this baby is going to be quite large. I have been measuring big for a while and my Dr. is really wanting me to have a C-section. I went to get an ultrasound yesterday and the ultrasound said the baby was 8 lbs 9 oz (Easton was 7.3). I am going to try for a natural delivery but we will see what happens. I am scheduled to be induced on Saturday if I haven't gone before then.

The ultrasound lady was a lot of fun and even took some pictures in 3D for us...

It doesn't look the best because I scanned it in, but you can see his little face pretty good. I think his cheeks are the majority of all that weight!

Happy New Year To Me!

This is what I got New Years Day...
If anyone knows Ace you know how long it takes for him to purchase something big. I have wanted a Honda Odyssey forever...well at least for the last year. First, I had to convince him that even though a mini van wasn't the best looking vehicle on the streets, nothing can compare to its automatic doors, the deep trunk, and the many other conveniences of them (which I can argue about at any given time). We have been to every dealership in the city of Las Vegas and online, researching prices on the different kinds of mini vans (we looked at ALL of them) all the while I already knew I wanted a Honda Odyssey. So when New Years Day came around and Ace started talking about going around to dealerships I just thought it would be another day seeing how low they would go on a price and then going home and budgeting it...like always. But instead, they offered the lowest price we had ever heard since we started looking (which was a long time if you don't remember from my story) and Ace shook the salesman's hand and I almost fell out of my chair! I still can't believe it actually happened! Hooray!

Christmas 2008

So, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...just off the internet. I don't have internet at my house right now so the only time I can blog is when Ace brings his laptop home from work at night. Which, as you can see, doesn't happen very often!

We had a fun Christmas this year, although we couldn't go anywhere due to my "condition" Grandma Leelee flew down and spent Christmas with us! We had a lot of fun and Easton sure enjoyed being spoiled non-stop by Leelee!

Just Open the Door...

Easton has been really excited about his new brother coming soon, and enjoys talking to him. He normally says things like "I love you, come and play, we can play with toys, I will read you stories" a little like he is bribing him to come out! The other day, Easton was having his normal conversation with his brother and said, "Open the door, come and see me brother!"

If only it was that easy...

Thanksgiving 2008!

So I finally got some of my pictures to upload onto my computer... Easton and I went to Utah a couple weeks before Thanksgiving because I had two weddings to go to- my cousin Jason and my best friend Shelly. Then Ace came up and joined us for Thanksgiving. It was a whole lot of fun, but a long time away from Ace. Anyway, here is a look at some of the fun we had...

Here is my cousin, Jessica with her friend Cory...they have gone out on a few dates together and this poor fella has really seen a lot of our extended family and the weirdness that is in it! Every time he comes to the house he gets interviewed by some other family member and my mom requires a picture to be taken. So I of course had to make the situation more awkward while I was there! (Just to be clear, this happens to anyone in our family that brings someone home to meet the family...the first time Ace met them, they had written a song and sang it to him...)

I also got to go to lunch with my other best friend, Rachel-we went to a really classy resturaunt called Chuck-E-Cheese's. The pizza was good and we all had fun!

Build A Bear

We took Easton to Build A Bear Workshop so that he could make a bear for his soon-to-be brother. It was pretty fun and he is so excited to give his brother his bear. We also let him make one for himself--he chose to make a monkey for him and a bear for his brother.

Wanna S'more?

So figuring out costumes while pregnant is a difficult task. Ace suggested I be a marshmallow so I made him be a graham cracker and Easton a Hershey bar...together...a S'more!

2008-10 044

We had a fun October... our ward Trunk or Treat was a couple of weeks ago, then Ace and I got invited to a couples Halloween Party last weekend, and then we had Halloween night. Grandma Raylene, Grandpa Larry, and Uncle Brad came into town for the festivities which was a whole lot of fun--Easton liked it because he got more candy then he would have ever been allowed without so many people there!

Here is Easton's Hershey bar costume. By the time it was actually time for him to wear it, he had had to try it on so many times while I was making it he got a bit sick of it! so it took a little convincing , but now he loves it and tells everybody "I'm a chocolate bar!"

We also carved a pumpkin. Easton was so excited about it but when the top of the pumpkin came off he was absolutely terrified to put his hand in the pulp! Once he did he really enjoyed it though...sort of
