Thanksgiving 2008!

So I finally got some of my pictures to upload onto my computer... Easton and I went to Utah a couple weeks before Thanksgiving because I had two weddings to go to- my cousin Jason and my best friend Shelly. Then Ace came up and joined us for Thanksgiving. It was a whole lot of fun, but a long time away from Ace. Anyway, here is a look at some of the fun we had... Jason and his bride, Emily
Some of the cousins...
Here is Shelly, the Beautiful Bride...(please ignore the fat, swollen, pregnant lady beside her!) Here is my cousin, Jessica with her friend Cory...they have gone out on a few dates together and this poor fella has really seen a lot of our extended family and the weirdness that is in it! Every time he comes to the house he gets interviewed by some other family member and my mom requires a picture to be taken. So I of course had to make the situation more awkward while I was there! (Just to be clear, this happens to anyone in our family that brings someone home to meet the family...the first time Ace met them, they had written a song and sang it to him...) Easton enjoying some of Grandma Leelee's treats... I also got to go to lunch with my other best friend, Rachel-we went to a really classy resturaunt called Chuck-E-Cheese's. The pizza was good and we all had fun!

Wanna S'more?

So figuring out costumes while pregnant is a difficult task. Ace suggested I be a marshmallow so I made him be a graham cracker and Easton a Hershey bar...together...a S'more!

We had a fun October... our ward Trunk or Treat was a couple of weeks ago, then Ace and I got invited to a couples Halloween Party last weekend, and then we had Halloween night. Grandma Raylene, Grandpa Larry, and Uncle Brad came into town for the festivities which was a whole lot of fun--Easton liked it because he got more candy then he would have ever been allowed without so many people there!
Here is Easton's Hershey bar costume. By the time it was actually time for him to wear it, he had had to try it on so many times while I was making it he got a bit sick of it! so it took a little convincing , but now he loves it and tells everybody "I'm a chocolate bar!"

We also carved a pumpkin. Easton was so excited about it but when the top of the pumpkin came off he was absolutely terrified to put his hand in the pulp! Once he did he really enjoyed it though...sort of
(yes that is a fake tattoo on his arm he says "I got a tat!" and shows off his arm to everybody)
Look at those mad faces!
And the finished product!!!

Sorry Toes...

This happened a little while ago, but I wanted to write it down before I forgot it.

Lately, Easton has been getting really good at apologizing when he does something mean or bad. The other day, Easton was (as usual) running around the house and as he turned a corner he stubbed his toes on the corner of the wall. He started to cry and I said, "Oh, did you hit your toes?" and he said, "Yeah" then he sat down on the floor, cradling his foot in his hands and with the most sincerity I have ever seen he said,

"Sorry Toes." and gave his little foot a kiss.

Now how's that for being apologetic!

If you ever thought I was a little weird...

Here's Why...

A little while ago my mom, her sisters, and my cousins got together for a weekend getaway. I wasn't able to go, but I might be a little happy about that now or I would have been caught in this crazy video with the rest of my crazy family!!!

Anyway, my cousin Jen posted this video on her blog (at the bottom of her post) and I was crying because I was laughing so hard (although it probably won't be funny unless you know my family). And if anyone is wondering, my mom is the one in her famous purple silky pajamas dancing to Micheal Jackson's...

Fun Times with Dad...

Here are just a couple of Easton's favorite things to do with his dad

Baseball... Easton loves to play baseball we were at the park for an hour or so just letting him hit the ball over and over. (By the way, this picture isn't the greatest, but stands out because as I took this picture I got hit by that ball!)
And back rides. Any time Ace is on the floor Easton climbs up and says, "Giddy-up Daddy!"

Wal-Mart & Obumbum...

So, recently Easton has been paying attention to things that I didn't think he was...

First, Walmart. I feel like I don't shop there a whole lot, in fact I'd prefer Target any day, but apparently Easton knows the store because I was on the Wal-mart website and Easton saw this logo, jumped up and said, "MAL-MART!!"

This man has been on the TV a lot... I never talked to Easton about him before, but now every time he comes on the TV, Easton gets very excited and screams "OBUMBUM!"

Boys Boys Boys...

Funny story...

We brought Easton to the ultrasound thinking he would like to see it. The second the Dr. turned on the screen Easton looks at the baby in my tummy and yells, "FISHY!"

Happy Birthday Ace! 2008

Saturday was Ace's birthday--we celebrated the whole weekend by going camping! We went up to Mount Charleston and the best part was that it is 20-30 degrees cooler there then here in Vegas! We had a lot of fun and it was great to just relax!

This was Easton eating a chocolate granola bar...messy messy messy After one day playing in the dirt...and the pictures don't do it justice--his feet were nasty!!
I took this picture right as I was being attacked by the smoke...gross Ace loves going out into the woods to get firewood so that we don't have to buy any. So for his birthday he got a hatchet and got a little carried away! Birthday loves from Easton...
Happy Birthday Ace!! We love you!!

It's Too Hot...

That is my excuse for not posting! Not that it is too hot to post, but I just haven't been taking any pictures because we haven't been doing anything because it is TOO HOT here in Vegas! Here is how Easton has been relaxing...
He climbs on the top of the couch and just lays there!

Also, his newest thing has been collecting things from around the house and hiding them either under the table or behind a curtain...I found this collection after I put him down for a nap... Who wouldn't want to hide a piece of paper, the camera case, and two cookies??

Priceless...

Recently, I sent this picture to all of our family members...

This is the reason for the freaky floating baby on the side of my blog as well!!

Best of Friends...

Ruby and Easton really have a lot of fun together! They are always playing so good and giving each other hugs! It's so fun to watch them play-the other night they played with sidewalk chalk- although most of the chalk ended up on them rather than the sidewalk, they are still pretty cute!

Poor Penny...

This last week, we took Penny in to get spayed. She is pretty miserable! She has to wear the cone on her head for 2 weeks and no playing allowed, so both her and Easton are going crazy! The Vet gave us some pills that sedate her so that she doesn't disrupt her stitches so she is like our drunken dog--she runs into things because of her cone and sleeps a lot because of her pills!

We're Back!!

For the last two weeks we have been in Utah with family and friends! So much happened during that time: my mom moved into my Aunts house because my Aunt and Uncle have been called as mission presidents in Equador, my brother Jesse left on his mission, and we had a family reunion on Ace's mom's side! We were there helping my mom move and get Jesse ready to leave, but we had a lot of fun being with everyone. We got to go to an aquarium with Ace's parents and Easton loved it! This is just a slide show of some of the things we did while we were there

The Toothpick...

Easton has always been a really good eater...up until recently! He will eat anything except meat! I have been trying everything to get him to eat it, he wants nothing to do with it! The other day, we went to Sams Club with our neighbors. Sams was passing out a bunch of samples (mostly meat samples) Ace asked if he should grab a meatball sample for Easton I said sure but he probably won't eat it. He got one for Easton and they came on a toothpick...EASTON ATE THE WHOLE THING! I was shocked! The next sample was of some ham, again on a toothpick, and again he ate it! So the next day I was giving him some ham for a snack and he wouldn't touch it, we then remembered the toothpick thing and this is what happened...

HOORAY FOR TOOTHPICKS!!!
what a weird kid!

My little Tornado

So in a period of two days this is what my child did...

First, the muffins...

I made muffins the other morning for breakfast. I left them on top of the stove and later that day I left Easton alone for a minute and came out to my living room to find this....

There was muffin on both couches, all over the floor, and tile....

I had no idea that Easton was able to reach the top of the stove, the muffin tin looked undisturbed...except all the muffins were gone!
Needless to say, Easton was smart enough to make sure all of the muffin cups made it to the trash...

Well not much to say about this one, Easton loves wipes and loves to clean with them.
I asked "Easton, what are you doing?!?!?"
He says, "Easton Cleaning!"
I say, "Of course you were! How did I not notice that!
