Poop Problems

Disclaimer: Not that I will be sharing horribly disgusting details or anything, but if you couldn't tell by the title, this post is about poop.  Queasy readers...look away :)

Ever since Ty was born, he has had a problem with getting a little "backed up".  Well, a lot backed up...to the point that he is in major pain and screaming.  It's so so sad.  We tried prunes and juices and all types of food to help relieve him, but nothing really helps him.  Now I have to give him Miralax when he has such a hard time, and that seems to help him out a bit.

My point to this wonderful story is about the position that Ty gets in when he needs to poop.  I suppose he has gotten used to "struggling" so he automatically gets into position and prepares for the worst...
So, is it horrible that I can't help but smile (maybe even laugh a little) every time I see him do this?

Yes you are such a horrible mother- it just had to be said!!! Poor kid. That postion does not lend well for potty training though.

That is so sad for the little guy, but it makes for some cute pictures...he probably won't agree with that.

That is so cute, yet so sad all at the same time! It almost looks like he's praying for it to all be over with! :)

Dang Lisa! That sounds like us with Hunter. Miralax has been our best bet too. I like his pooping postion. haha! Hunter stands and does this funny looking move. I feel so bad for them but he has been doing a lot better. We try to do our best with lots of fiber like beans and stuff. I'm sure that's what the doc tells you too! Hunter has gotten so bad we have to give him pedilax (enima things) they work wonders! you get like 6 or 7 of them! They are awesome but they don't like the little stick goin up their bum! sorry that's kinda how it is when your kids are constapooted has bry would say! haha! hope it gets better for you guys! we should hang out next time you are up here!

My sister's little girl had the same problem. She had to have Miralax with every meal. The good thing was she out grew it. So maybe the same thing will happen with Ty.
