Soccer Finale, Robert’s Reunion, my B-day, and the 4th Celebrations

We’ve had a busy few weeks…Easton had his last soccer game.  He loved soccer so much.  He kept track of all the goals he scored during the season, and still announces to anyone who mentions soccer that he scored 6 goals.  He makes sure people ask about it by wearing his soccer shirt everyday.094  We went straight from the soccer game (the reason Easton looks like he is posing for his soccer photos) to the always fabulous annual Roberts Reunion down in Richfield.  We ate, played games, and of course, posed for the annual family pictures.095101105

Then along came my birthday.  I got a couple days of celebration with lunches, shopping, dinners, and thanks to Mandy and James, a day with Ace at Seven Peaks with no little kidlets!  So fun.140152144Annnnd I pretended like I got this gem of a car for my birthday.  But it’s my dad’s and I’m not gonna lie, I was scared silly driving it.  When my dad told me to “floor it”, I listened, and then I may or may not have screamed like a little school girl….

For the 4th of July, we headed over to Ryan and Rebecca’s for a yummy Barbeque and fireworks.  We almost had one firework blow up a few houses…and us, but no one was injured and all was well.  Fun night with the family!233322324325327328331332It took some coaxing…333But he eventually got the hang of it.337Easton, on the other hand, gets the “Mad Scientist” look every year.343348349352 Ellie made this face every time a firework went off.  Obviously, it kept Easton entertained.

Just Stuff

I’m just playing catch up on things we’ve been up to these days008There haven’t been too many snowy days this winter, so when they did come, you couldn’t drag the boys back inside.038Being outside is definitely better. This was their idea of playing the game Apples To Apples…not my favorite idea.

383St. Paddy’s Day. The boys woke up to a tricky leprechaun who colored on their faces while they were sleeping, and turned all our food green. We made a trap, but somehow he got away. 384385426Ellie is just as cute as ever.  She is 2 months, already 11lbs, and growing like a weed.  She is smiling like crazy and just starting to laugh.  She loves tummy time, and is very entertained by her brothers.180216274438282002photo

292And then Ty had his greatest accomplishment. The potty train was a major success! He has wanted nothing to do with any kind of potty for a long time…in fact he was just plain terrified of the potty. But one day, he told me he wanted to use the potty, he did and he has used it ever since. Easiest potty train ever.  We celebrated with a molten lava cake.  Yum.

445And then we got a new cousin!  Baby Tate Ryan.  He is so, so cute.  We did a little comparison of Tate and Ellie…That’s what happens in 2 months time.  Crazy. Congrats to Ryan and Rebecca!

Just Camping and Family

This weekend was super fun/tiring/crazy.  We headed up to Camp Stimson for some ward camp out bonding time.  Super yummy food and great company.  Only problem is I am pretty sure our ward has been cursed with some kind of evil wind curse.  Because every year on our Ward Camp Out as soon as everyone gets into the tents and starts to fall asleep for the night it like a stinkin' tornado plants itself down on top of the camp site and attacks the entire night.  It literally sounds like a train is coming down the canyon and is going to smash you to bits....over and over. All. Night. Long.  The kids slept like rocks.  But no body else got any sleep.  So other than the night time the camp out was a huge success!  Thanks to Melissa & Patrick who didn't get relax at all while they planned, served, and made everyone else happy!  You guys were awesome!  Easton and Ty had a blast playing with all the kids, and successfully managed to cover every nook and cranny of themselves in filth (I would expect nothing less).

Ty loved this little bridge.  He would walk across, look at the stream, and walk to the other side over and over again.

Finding some ladybugs...

Sister Smith was the genius who brought glow sticks for all the kidlets.  We could watch them glowing off in the distance...
Easton's favorite part was playing in the stream until he was so wet and cold he couldn't take it anymore.

Ty's favorite part had to be this stump.  As we were cleaning up getting ready to leave he just sat on the stump, kicking his feet, watching us the whole time.

About 5.2 seconds after getting into the car and heading home, the boys were out.  So tired.

Right as we got home, Uncle Ryan, Aunt Rebecca, and little Carson showed up.  They had been in St.George for the weekend and came down to spend the day with us.  We let the kids play, went to dinner, put the kids to bed, and then played a little Super Mario Bro Wii.  I have to say, I have never seen a more spectacular Mario Bro player than Ryan...I mean, truly a sight to see. :)
I must have been completely delusional and sleep deprived from the night before and the "Wind Curse" previously mentioned, because I did not take a single picture while Ryan & Rebecca were here...lame.  But they did come and we had a real great time.

So a fun weekend.  The best part might have been going to bed in my own bed Saturday night (with no wind)...I am pretty sure I haven't slept that good since sleeping with the pain medication they gave after giving birth.

Another Trip to Utah...

Pretty much every weekend for the last two months we have been out of town (by out of town I mean Utah). Although I love going to Utah and seeing everybody, it has gotten pretty old driving back and forth all the time! I feel like we have been living out of our luggage. We get home, I do the laundry and throw everything back in the bags! But this wast the last trip for a while, and a good one because we got to see our newest nephew/cousin, Carson. Ryan and Rebecca had their first little baby boy...adding to the number of grandson's... making it boys-5 and girls-0! He is way cute and we had a fun time hanging out with the Casper family all weekend.
Easton & Baby Carson

Right when we got there we did some fireworks for Pioneer Day with Papa Larry & Grammy

Ty has started to sit up really well

Ace and Ryan took Easton swimming

Here is Ryan teaching Easton how to spit water at people... Thanks again Uncle Ry!

Even though my mom and Lauren were in Cali, we stopped by to say hi to the cousins on our way home
(Jessica, way to be on soothing the child)
So we are back in the hot weather of Vegas and maybe now I can get back into a regular routine, and unpack for, at least for a little while.
