Parenting 101

Never send your child to the baby sitter without a spare outfit (no matter what age!)
My neighbor, Diana is soooo nice and is watching Easton for me while I do preschool. As I was packing a diaper bag for him I thought to myself, i should pack a spare outfit...then I thought...nah he'll be fine...NOPE about an hour after I left he pooped all over himself and poor Diana had to clean him up. She only has a little girl and Ruby is a lot smaller than Easton, so she had to put him in an old shirt!! Thanks again Diana and sorry!!!

Idaho Trip!

We got to go up to Idaho this past week! We were supposed to be up there for the dedication of the Rexburg Temple but it got rescheduled for the 10th for Pres. Hinckley's funeral... It was a ton of fun though we stayed with my friend Courtney (from preschool) she was a great host and we had a blast! I got to see a bunch of my preschool buddies and we saw Brad, Ryan and Rebecca! We had so much fun and it was a very relaxing week! Thanks Courtney for letting us bombard your cute new home!! I have videos that I will post later!

These are my preschool buddies and all of our families!

Funnest Preschool Week Ever!

So this last week has probably been my favorite week of preschool that I have ever done so I thought I would post about it! It was a lot of fun to be able to talk about Christmas --I wasn't allowed up at school so I took major advantage of it!

On Tuesday I did an entire day on the book, "The Polar Express"! It was a blast! I had all of the children come to school in their pajamas. Then they were given a ticket to board our polar express train (I just had the chairs lined up like a train)

After everyone was aboard the train I used a book on CD to read the book (it had all of the train sound effects and voices so it kept the kids attention a lot better than me). When the story was over I "accidentally" bumped a chair and all the children discovered there was a silver bell under their chairs! We then sat and had Hot cocoa and chocolates just like in the book! Such a fun day! Thursday was our last day at preschool until January so we had our Christmas party! We read the book, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and made an ornament for the parents. Then, the best part of all...Santa came to our class and gave everyone a present! The kids went crazy when Santa got there and they were all so excited to get a present from the Big Guy himself!! You can click on this picture to see everyone with Santa... P.S--does Santa look a little familiar to anyone?? If he does, I will tell you that it took a WHOLE lot of persuasion and I was told that I wasn't allowed to take pictures...but honestly, who could resist this?!?!

The First Fat Lip...

Well, another injury to the face for Easton! He was doing his nightly ritual of running around in circles, tripped and fell into the corner of our coffee table...He was bleeding so bad at first we couldn't even see the cut. We figured it was bad so I was getting everything together to take him the the ER (Easton has a lovely way of getting sick or hurt at night so we have to drive further to get to a doctor). A few minutes later Easton had forgotten the whole thing and he had stopped bleeding so we were able to look at the cut. He had a cut inside his mouth and outside. The outside cut is a lot smaller than the inside. We called the doctor and they said there wasn't much they would do for the inside of his mouth at his age... by this time Easton was running around laughing and playing again so we figured he was going to be okay!

The funniest part is that exactly one year ago he got his 'dent' in his forehead...

Our Little Drummer Boy!

Easton has this cute little toy drum that he LOVES- he is always playing with it! Although recently he has discovered a new way to play...

Little Drummer Boy!
I don't think I need to say much...only problem with this is that he does it over and over again but he can't get out by himself so he sits in it -- realizes he is stuck--cries--I pull him out--then he sits in it again--it's a really great cycle!

Thanksgiving with Easton! 2007

We had a really great Thanksgiving! Best of all we didn't have to travel--we forced everyone to come to us!! We had a full house, but it was a lot of fun! Instead of cooking, we went to a buffet...and, well I think Easton out ate all of us!!
